Teacher's Day

Tho' cher's day was rather screwed up,
I'm sure Council did their very best.
Don't be so upset,
as it's only the first project 14th EXCO handling.
Life goes on.
So only can learn from mistakes.

(I'm sure everyone from NH knew what happened, so won't elaborate)

=========
After every teacher's day stuff has been settled, including an enlightening talk with 13th EXCO, went to canteen to see if sheeshers still there. Can't believe it. So late already, and sheeshers still there. At that point of time had no intention to go back to BTPS as it was so late already.

They were playing hai dai, and what made my day was that YY and JH were still there (rather shocking, I know). It was raining, budden HECK CARE, went to play Captain's Ball in the rain. Too bad teachers left already. Party was rather over. But some people still stay there. OUR SHEESHERS SPIRIT ROCK.

Play until damn fun and tired. Guess who came to spoil our happiness in the game? Won't say who as it won't be nice, but we moved to the court near 198 bus stop to play abit more (we're addicted to captain's ball) and we went home.

Learnt lots of stuff today. Will be a day in 2006 to remember.

A new tablet in the house

My sister got her Tablet. She's from Crescent, and it's virtually complusory to have a tablet unless you really no money until your three meals are a problem. So the tablet arrived today.

It's quite new, with the new Intel logos here and there. It uses a Intel Centrino Duo chip, which is supposed to give some good performance, but guess what? The disappointing thing is that the bloody preloaded software slows the whole PC down until it's very, very, VERY jialat.

There is one thing that caught my eye though:

No, no, it's not that Intel Centrino chip thingy, it's the WINDOWS VISTA CAPABLE proclaimation. My goodness, this "capable and recommended for Vista" thing is coming so fast. Haha. But it's really quite cool.

Before that, we went to Bt Timah Hill for a hike, which was planned by the school. It was quite fun generally, as the sheeshers went up the hill together. On the bus, very chaotic. People playing hai dai and cai quan. Hehe. Lots of laughter and crap, on bus and on hill. Go see class blog for photos. Then Gina like never go to Bt Timah Hill before and she is so scared about things dropping from the sky! She is like damn funny lo. Stella also. Love to make fun of the teachers. The BEST part is that I went home STRAIGHT from there. Just has that shiok feeling, y' know? In the end reached home at only 5.15pm.

BEFORE that, classes had the CyberWellness CD period today. Crap. Mrs Tan WS koped me and then I had to teach 311. Chaotic experience at best. But rather unforgettable.

Will be doing the mascot badges tomorrow! x)

WOS

What is WOS? Who the hell would know what is WOS? To tell you the truth, I didn't know until today. Haha.

Skip the crap about those boring lesson. But I did get a nice mark of (15-1) for Geog, thanks to the lack of paragraphing. Sometimes teachers could be so crap and minus marks because they don't see nice organisation. But heck care, getting a 14 is way way too good for me. Finally I get an A1 for Cmn Test 2.

So I also ponned lesson during Chinese and SS as I had to rush tomorrow's lesson during CD. Didn't realise many teachers were not so IT-savvy and so Aaron, Liwen and I made lots of notes for the PPT slides so that the teachers would not cockup halfway.

Skip skip skip to the end of day. Had no idea about the name of the science experiment presentatoin thingy at Ngee Ann Poly. Daniel and his 3/7 group was also there. Then I had the thinking that, ok lor, go there talk crap in front of the 4 judges, then go MAKAN, and go home.

Wrong wrong wrong. I only knew what was going on once I'm in the lecture room. This wonderful thing is actually called World of Science or something like that. Instead of the 4 judges, we had to present to 4 judges + the whole crowd of around 50+ (they had to present as well). Unlucky hand of mine got us third, and the room was damn cold. Making us even more nervous. Can ask Huishan. She was so freaked out by me.

And my cold hands.

So nervous me just went up and tried to present well. My posture wasn't good, and I make some bloopers that people laughed damn hard at, and the mic was making my voice so LOOOUD. And the judge was kinda disappointed we didnt' have a real-life live experiment. I thought that affected our chances on going into the finals.

Cut the crap. Many groups did a nice presentation, and one interesting one was whether blood type determines personality. It showed that people of blood type O (me) are very extrovert and outgoing. I guess that's right. ;)

Then got makan after dunno how long in the cold cold COLD lecture room. Enjoyed the food as it was really quite good. Yeah. Then stayed for results.

Our group, which had the weakest and stupidest concept, got into the finals.

Unbelievable.

And I got best speaker award.

Even more unbelievable. But seriously, I felt that there were many speakers way better than me. Like the MGS girls. Damn confident. Think their school had trained them or something.

Guess my blooopers helped.

Vista 5536

Ya lah, I know people want to read about my life. Ok loh, in today's post I shall read to you... my life as a beta tester so far for Microsoft. Yeah. Official beta tester for Microsoft, one of the companies I hate the most.

But hey, it's quite fun, seeing how Vista is getting along poorly, and suddenly, this cool 5536 pre-release candidate build just makes my day. It is just so, so, so, so much better. I am actually amazed - this is the only build that my freakingly slow computer can run quite nicely in terms of performance.

Vista 5536 - featuring Grad Nite 2006, Paint, Sidebar, Windoze Internet Explorer 7 AND a start menu that says 'Kah Swee' proudly. Vista :)

And you know what's the BEST part? Microsoft has ACTUALLY put 2 of my suggestions into reality: aka Sidebar settings icon has changed from a "tick" to something more obvious - a tool icon. AND I have asked MS to autoselect Address Bar once new tab is opened. Ironically, MS has told me that these 2 will be not be implemented on its Connect website.

For the past few days, nothing much. Went for the ecard prize presentation and got 3rd. Our school got damn lot of prizes. I will upload next time, cause Vista doesn't support my Bluetooth adapter. Yeah. Damn cool.

Tomorrow will be going to Ngee Ann for the tissue in water experiment thing. Then on Tues got the world's most retarded hike ever - to Bt Timah Hill. Hopefully they can allow me to go home straight from there AS i just live across the road from BT Hill.

Hope they have brains.

And NO playing in parade square thanks to Prelims - gawd! 3/4 can't show the sheesher spirit! Sheesh!

What's that dog?

Blogger has gone mad.

Their logo has become a fugly silhouette of a dog with a party hat. It's really ugly. Blogger design disaster. And it does not immediately give any impression that something major that might have happened at Blogger. Was a stray dog found on Blogger HQ? Huh? Huh? Even Blogger Buzz has no mention about it.

Silhouette that went wrong.

Anyway, got back Bio, Physics and E Maths results. So far I have improved in those subjects which I have failed in MYE, but my Bio is always getting weaker and weaker. Better do something about it.

Crap apart, after school today, went to the Tcher's Day audition AVA room and went nuts there with the sec 2 councillors and Joyce [Chee]. Hahaha. Then went down to SAC and had a mini "Council-EXCO" chat-chat - with me, YH, Nick, Yao Zhong and Joyce. It was real enjoyable and I actually knew what the other councillors are feeling.

Nicholas has passed me his huge file for me to photocopy some important stuff. Just realised that Council Welfare not slacky at all. And the best part of the job: CLEANING UP THE SAC! Wah siao.

Then we went bored later and played Twister. Teamed up with Yao Zhong against YH and Nick. Damn funny as the stupid game put us into really obscene positions. Then Joyce, who was turning the thing, laughed like shit.

She got her payback later when her hands were taped with masking tape. Laugh lah! Haha.

Tomorrow will be PIE and Operation Rice presentation. Whoo.

Visit to Home of Aged Sick

I. Am. So. Tired.

People who know me will wonder: Why would I ever post at 11+, nearing midnight, on a weekday with school tomorrow?

I'm damned bored.

Adobe Premiere Elements' weak point is its WMV rendering. It's real friggin slow at it. So. Let me post about today's exciting activities.

During school, we got back 3 subjects results. All 3 I lose to JH by 1-3 marks. Hmmph. Not fun. Hope I can win him back some subjects so as to stop his yayaness. But as usual, school is boring, and nothing too fun.

Fast forward to after school. Planned home visit to Home of Aged Sick for publicity for Project Operation (see what tiredness can do for you?) Rice. Tick Meng and Yi Hui can't make it. So only me, YY, JH and YW went. The time spent at the home is wwaaaaaay lesser than the time we took getting there.

Why?
  1. Hougang. That's damn far.
  2. StreetDirectory.com has a big bug which bluffed me the route.
  3. We nearly got on the wrong bus.
  4. We have no friggin' idea where the home was - and for good reason. After we found out where it was, it was in a damn ulu place.
So what? So we were damn late. Damn frustrating, man.

We walked in and out, left and right, looked there for bus stop, looked another direction for the bus which StreetDirectory.com showed me. Sia lah! In the end we were so fooking fed up that we hired a cab.

What a genius way hor?

After the visit of the home which was uneventful and so brief it was as if the receptionist didn't want to see us at all, we tried to get home.

The thing is, we have no idea where we are. We live in Clementi, not in Hougang. Goodness. So we walked until the closest bus stop which was quite far away. Walk lor. That's when I felt real grateful for the bus guides on the bus stops all around S'pore. We decided on what bus to take to bring us to Kovan MRT.

Superb eyes of mine has bluffed me that we only had to take 3 stops to reach Kovan, which in reality, is 5. Superb hor? We stopped 2 stops earlier, and we had no idea where we were. We just walked in what-we-thought-was-the-bus-route. On the way, we stopped by Mac, got McChicken, and also watched a football match (under-15 I guess) between 2 S-League football clubs.

Walked and walked. We saw many surprising things along the way.

And hold and behold, by some luck or some way, WE FOUND KOVAN MRT!

[Time check: 12midnight.]

Clever JH forgot to buy some water and then on the way back to Clementi he was damn thirsty. So YY and me purposely rubbed it in. For the sake of fun.

After reach home, me started to work on Op Rice video which is being uploaded to my server. 4 hours for a 2 min video. What a waste of time.

Freeeee Periods

Yay yay yay!

One last bloody day to the end of CMN TESTS! Wahahaha. So lovin' it! I'm also quite hyped up about tomorrow's visit to the Home of Aged Sick. I'm going nuts. Hahahhaha.

So we are like damn free today. SS and Maths were all free periods = 2 hours of free periods! Wah shiok man. Chinese was okay, then I do abit faster then people start to complain liao. What's wrong with fast writing? Hahaha. x) But I'll falter in tomorrow's paper, so you all will finish faster than me tomorrow. Hehehe.

Yeah, then during PE we went to play captain's ball, as usual. Then Gina got abit upset over the 3/9 thingy. Aiyo, Gina, waste my saliva and voice to tell you it's over. Hope you will take it easy. :)

During Geog, Mr Yeo spent a great deal of time telling us about the different car brands in the world. Can tell that Mr Yeo got great passion and interest into the world of cars. Didn't know Proton was a ripoff from Mitsubishi though. Now I know. And I also know that the Chevrolet in Singapore is totally different than the Chevvy in USA.

AND I know McDonald's main income source - NOT fast food. No wonder they have to buy so many outlets lah. Yuck. I'm disgusted, but it's business what.

After Geog, Yan Wei got severe stomach cramp, so jialat until virtually can't walk. Very ke lian. YH and I helped him to sick bay, me try to cheer him up, budden he really looks in pain. :( He went home during lunch. Rest well, buddy!

After lunch is Maths free period. 3 periods - how to waste? Me, JH and YY recorded some stuff, talked some stuff and that's it. Time flies. Hahaha.

Rumour has it that Christina Liew got TOP for level. My goodness! Can't believe it. Yeah. Hope I do get a nice mark for Chem too... it has been such a long time since I got a B3 and above.

Tomorrow's Physics. I'm worried.

A new phone

Yep, people!

I have a new phone!

Ok, not really.

My ever-so-trusty Nokia 6670, which I sent in for repair on 7 Aug, finally came back to me, after a 10-day delay. But the thing is... it's really not my ol' little N6670.

Why?

Lovely Nokia has changed the PC Board for me. AKA New Phone without SIM, case, MMC, keypad. Wow. It has a new IMEI even. Hahaha. Love it so much. The best part? I didn't give a single cent for it, as it was still under the 60day warranty.

So, by right, as a new phone, it shouldn't give me problems like its predecessors for 2 times (aka the 0 key problem). But this kind of things damn hard to say.

Hope to get a nice lil' phone when my contract expires in November, around my birthday. Hehe. But hope only. Must study first. Heh.

Yeah.

2 more days to the end of Common Tests.

Go nuts.

Boredness

I'm super bored.

I hate Common Tests.

So yeah.

E Maths tomorrow. Hopefully my current tuition is good enough to make me pass. Long time no pass ya know?! Hahaha.

Today's tests were okay, but abit difficulty in Chem, but should do better than Chem MYE. Cause I really screwed up my MYE. Hehe.

Yeah. So I have no idea what to do. Study more E Maths? :)

Fireworks

First of all, whaddahell? There's a new version of Blogger coming. Woohoo! Finally instant publishing. Finally.

No more spinner and "Publishing... 98%"

Yeah, so I made a fun fun blogger beta test at http://xpdude.blogspot.com, aka my old blogspace. It's damn friggin' easy to use, but tell those blogskin creators first. New Blogger is using a BRAND new template thing, so your current template may not be up and running for Blogger New.

Blogger New is not the official name though. Hehe.

So. On Saturday. Went to Marina area to go watch fireworks by France. Damn crowded. You wont' see this kind of crowds on National Day. Damn bloody crowded. Just like New Year Countdown. At least at the area where me and my family was stuck at. But the fireworks are great.

Below are the world's shakiest shots on earth.

(Waiting for the Blogger thing to do its stuff. Damn slow)

They were damn good.

But it was damn squeezy.

So not good.

And thanks to the ever-so-slow Blogger, I'm hungry waiting for them to upload.

So I go and eat.

(I hate Cmn tests)

Kiam Siap

This post will show you how kiam siap a postal company in Singapore is.

Damn kiam siap man.

Today, Ji Wei and I asked Mr Foo about our proposal for our class s***ts. Then guess what? Mr Foo thought it was a council-initiated project. My goodness! Just because we in Council Exco, then he think it's a council project. Goodness.

Then he's out for the whole day.

Lessons are a huge bore. As usual. During the combined chem lesson with 3/4 and 3/9, JH and I sat in front. Very extra. But we loved it! Muhahahaha.

We are going to have council chalet. Oh yeah. x)

So far hor, council welfare is quite fun. Go to every councillor, ask them if they're happy, if not, make them happy.

Welfare mah! Hahaha. I know it's lame. But lame will make people laugh. Muhahahah.

Kiam siap part.

After getting our *gorgeous* letters for the beneficiaries done today, me have to go and send them. How superb.

I didn't know that this postal company in Singapore has this stamp dispenser thing. So not bad. But what was bad was how kiam siap the machine was.
Can't read? "Please insert exact amount of coins into the coin sloton the right, otherwise change will be given in labels. Maximum of 30 coins can be accepted per transaction.

Total amount payable: $0.01"

Wah. This postal company damn big one leh. Can't believe they even wanted 1 cent. Like S'pore Mint never make 1cent le ma? Retarded sia. Damn kiam siap.

Don't know how stupid I felt when I put in 10 cents and the machine hanged.

Ok lo.

I put in 20 cents. Some donation.

Then many, many, and many many many more stamps of weird amounts (like 2 cents. Sheesh) came out.

My goodness.

I feel like slapping them.

Anyway, me and Teng Teng were going to Mrs Chang's house to do the Science project. Then while Mrs Chang buys the things, I go and buy chicken rice.
Guess how much this thing costs?

$2? $2.50? $3?

NO! IT'S ONLY $1.50! WOOHOO!

By the way, Steve Ballmer's good at advertising Windows 1.0.

So my complains about the postal company is lost. *are lost.

Also saw Mrs Chang's kids. DAMN cute. I think they like me. Muahhahah. I'm so likable. ;)

And goodness me, I didn't know that MOE actually has a childcare centre. That's like, so cool? I'm rather amazed about it. A childcare centre in MOE HEADQUARTERS! This world is getting really fantastic.

Who knows? Next time the childcare may go to secondary schools. Wah. Hell will break loose sia.

"Eh, want to go home?"
"Dun wan lah, I want to go see little baby from childcare centre"
"Crazy ar, pedophile ar?"
"They cute mah! YOU GO HOME YOURSELF lah. Don't friend you. Don't love children. Whatever lorh!"

As if that's going to happen.

Nokia

I so miss my 6670.

Supposed to get it back today.

But thanks to Nokia, and their ever-so-efficient-repair-team-which-is-so-damn-patriotic-and-took-a-break-yesterday (to watch Nan Hua's superb performance), I can't get my phone back today.

Sigh.

Our Nation of Hopes and Dreams

Well done, Sec 1s, Sec 2s and Sec 3 dancers.

Me saw some of my friends on teevee. Wahahahaha. But a real stunning performance. Seriously. Well done.

Happy National Day

Happy National Day to Singapore! :)

For the rest of us, study hard. And then harder.

More importantly, good luck to all Sec 1s, 2s and Sec 3 dancers for their performance at NDP later! Woohoo! Our City of Hopes and Dreams...

Must catch Nan Hua's performance ar! x)

ND Celebrations

Woohoo!

Wore red to school today, although my adidas tee abit the big (it's my dad's one) but at least I wore red! Yay!

So we had the ND celebrations in our school today. Was on camera duty. Also knew who's in the Council EXCO already. But I don't wanna spoil the surprise for those non-council and those who haven't known. You'll know on Friday who the EXCO will be. And no, I'm not vice-pres. Hahaha.

After the ND celebrations, which the crowd liked, I supposed, me and others went to meet Mrs Wong for CIP. Wah, the whole thing damn tight. I just wanna get CIP over and done with! Arghhh!

After that went to Central to look for Junhe. He eating with Dixon. Also met Chu Harn and Chunkiat. Hahaha. They left 2 pieces of orange for me. So sweet.

Went to Dix's house to play some basketball for the sake of playing, and then went to Queensway with JH to survey survey prices for our class s***ts. Yeah. Got prices liao. So what's left is the approval part. Which wont' be easy.

Sigh sigh.

Tomorrow's National Day!

I <3 My Island Home~~~!

Swimming!

Actually this post meant for yesterday, but too lazy to update. Yeah.

Now I'm getting rid of my laziness to post!

Firstly, thanks for the nice nice remarks about the logo. Really appreciate it. :)

So. On Saturday, went tuition as usual. But at least I was rather awake. And Ms Ong kept saying that A Maths Trigo is confusing. (Si Aun tone)Please loh! My tuition teacher never confuse me leh!(end Si Aun tone)

After my tuition, went swimming at the new Ngee Ann Alumni pool. Very pathetic size. Really damn small. But what I do like about the place is that it's very quiet, not crowded at all (YAY!), and it has a real, real, really nice view.

Shall take a photo one day and post it here.

After that went to Jin Tai Primary to have a National Day dinner with school. Then Yayi and I were like so mad. Could tell that Ms (Joy) Koh and Mrs (Serene) Lew were freaked out by us.

"They are drunk, man, drunk by orange juice!" - comment by Ms Koh. So you can tell how crazy we were. But the thing was great, food was not bad.

But one shocker was that for one of the courses, they served achar, the spicy thing in Malay food? Or sometimes can see in Chicken Rice? My goodness, I was like extremely |||-.- when I saw that dish.

Seriously. Haha.

And we wore school uniform. FULL School U. We damn striking. Only white on white. Even the MP not white on white. Hahahaha.

Grad Nite Logo! New!

Bonus for those who visit my blog.

Muahahha.

The new grad nite (should be final, final, no more changes) logo unleashed:

Those who like the old one better, sorry lah, the person remove the font from the website. So too bad. But this font nicer hor? Hahaha.

More hip-hoppish too.

Oh yeah, grad nite this year should be centered around hiphop. No guarantees. But dress code is still Freestyle, but we recommend you wear Hip Hop.

No guarantees lah, but of course, logo should be good to go. Unless shoot down by our favourite educator with a surname Ng.

Rice!

Yay. I <3 Operation Rice 2006! Woohoo!

It's so damn great, I tell you. It's finally moving on at a comfortable rate. We have a really, really, great supplier, and we have our beneficiaries list! Oh my goodness. Letter should be out soon... and then common tests. Bummer.

After common tests, go and take photos, take orders, take money, order from rice supplier uncle (he is damn humourous and friendly, man), deliever to homes, hand-over ceremony, home visit, then DONE!

Woohoo!

How amazing is that! I just love this year's operation rice. It's gonna be a blast, I tell you.

So today, me, Melissa, BY, and Yan Wei went to Redhill to look for that rice supplier. Very bian pi place, thank goodness for Mei Ying! Hahahaha. It's great though. The rice supplier didn't look down on us because we were students. He was also really great and generous. His prices are rather shiok! Hahaha.

After the visit, we went to KFC and I ate damn lot. Don't know why, for this whole week, me have been craving for food, food, and more food.

Dunno why. Then Boon Yang was like making calls in a damn angmoh tone. It's so damn funny. Melissa and I kept laughing and laughing. Wahahahahha. YW went home by the way. Then it was my turn to make the calls. Then they laughed louder.

Hahaha.

Yeah.

Tomorrow maybe going for Physix remedial AND a national day dinner! Yay!

Feeling contented with life

Should one be contented with life?

Yes.

Definitely.

Why? Because you have the chance to be alive. Make the full use of it.

Why waste your time complaining to some station DJ and say that "Oh my goodness my life shucks, I have this thing, I have this that relationship problem!" And then they waste their money and dedicate a song.

Not that I hate this kind of behaviour, but seriously, don't you think you have more things to do than to complain, complain, complain all day? Some complain is okay, it's a form of relaxation or destress, but don't keep doing it. People will get sick of your complaining.

So live life. Everyone will say "Live life to the fullest". So what if you have lived life to the fullest, keeping yourself super occupied? What really matters that is that you are happy and contented about the time you have.

That, in my personal opinion, is the most beautiful thing one could ever have.

Sec 1 Interview Day 3

Today was really great.

All of the interviewees did great. Really. Well done, all interviewees! Hahaha.

Nothing much on today.

Only funny thing about today was during Maths. Ms Ong, who happened to be, under foreseen cirumstances, taking us for remedial. We didn't know that. Then Mr Liu came in and told us that due to unforeseen cirucumstances, Chem test postponed to tomorrow.

Then Ms Ong came and then gave us a bow.

IMAGINE MS ONG GIVING US A BOW.

It was damn funny.

Really.

Just imagine Ms Ong giving us those act cute bow.

Muhahah. It made my day.

Mama Card

Nothing much on today.

After petrolling downstairs for the teacher's day card making and poster making, I went back to class and check check on our class's progress with the card. Was rather amazed about it. Yeah. Mama, Erica and you getting one whole piece of paper leh! Other teachers get portions according to our standards. Highly confidential. :)

See mama, how much we love you!

Oh yeah, and another trip to Mrs Tan's house is possible... but if I'm not wrong, after Cmn tests. Yeah lah, study first mah :)

After lessons today, went to have Sec 1 council interview at Ideation Room. Must say that I'm quite impressed by today's standard, compared to yesterday's one. Maybe it's the aircon... haha.
Hope to see some great Sec 1s interviewing tomorrow. Good luck to those kena interview tomorrow. You may see me. I won't kill you though. I'm good and nice! Haha.

Off to file Chinese file, do some Bio and study for tomorrow's Chem test.
