Dah Dah Dah

Life's been hummingly going by nicely, despite EOYs in 2 days.

Which is freaking freaky as I haven't memorised the Chemical Analysis thingy. Taking a break now from studying Maths, Geog and Chem. Rah. Very worried about Chemistry. Seemed like there are a million topics on Chemistry and I only know clearly those few few things.

Everything is going swimmingly well. Vista's latest RTM build looks awesome (had no time to install AS MY COMPUTER JUST WOKE UP TODAY. HURRAY), and sheeshers had birthday celebrations today. And English teacher didn't come today. Ultimate good news.

EOYs are coming soon.

Good luck to EVERYONE! <3 :)

The Last Weekend

Yep, yep.

Last weekend before the dreaded End of Year exams.

Still on my way studying, but not there yet. So a bit stressed up as I'm not studying at a good pace yet.

Sigh.

Weekends are good for relaxing and staring into blank space, but when stupid exams come, you have to study and stare into blank space.

Seriously CAN'T wait for EOYs to be over and done with.

Super shitty. But at least I wrote a nice English essay AND a touching Chinese essay for my paper 1. But I screwed up my Chem O level SPA. Many people seemed to screw up too.

Sigh.

EOY

Kinda starts tomorrow.

So my blog will be one of the most boring-est of all in the WHOLE cybernet until October 5.

Good luck for your EOY!

The Bitter Road

Bitter road to studying.

I am now on the road to great results. Walking, not running.

Will be tough, but at least I'm making progress.

So it feels great.

Slacky Thursday

Has been a long time since there's no meeting for ITMC for such a long timeframe, and so, today was rather slacky.

But it was great. Shall focus on the things I did after school today, while forgetting the assembly talk on Planning Day, and the ever-so-fun captain's ball with my class, as well as the breakdown of Mr Chow's tablet PC.

After school, me rushed to Media Hub to join Liwen to make the powerpoint for Cyber Wellness. Something like a post-mortem, like what was done, and what could be improved on. Come to think of it, we had not done the Teachers' Day post-mortem yet. Yikes.

So, after that, JH, YY, Charmaine, Christina and me went to carry the rice from the canteen vendors to Bukit Batok Home of Aged. The rice packs were heavy, one 25kg each, but thanks to our efficient work, we carried them to Mr Chow and Ms Ong's cars quickly.

The guys sat in Mr Chowy's Toyota Wish and basically just talked crap and played Jay Chou's OLD songs which JH hated so much. The more JH hates it, the more we like. Hahaha. :p

Once we reached there, we carried the 25kg/pack rice into the home. Mr Chowy took photos of us with his Cybershot phone (Sony Erricsson k800i). After our job was done, Mr Chow dropped us at West Mall.

At West Mall, we went to Burger King to eat the student's meal and to basically talk. We talked about everything. So fun. Talked crap for more than 1 hour. Hehehe. Perfect way to waste time, something which I didn't want to do during EOY. But heck care, don't be wet blanket. It was great, anyhoo.
Went home with Charmaine after that. Then now blogging loh.

Computer spoiled again. Forever freakin like that one.

So stupid.

Wonders of Science Finals

My goodness... so many people thought that I'm sick.

Today I went to Ngee Ann for Wonders of Science finals. Ya know, the one where we went for the heats and we got through (if you have been reading my posts)?

So the finals are on from 8 to 1 today and therefore I didn't attend lessons. Hahaha. How can a person like me fall sick? (Kidding. Of course, people get sick sooner or later)

The finals was much more relaxed than the heats and I was so proud of the fact that I wasn't super jittery before our presentation (thanks to Mrs Chang's lucky hands, we were the 9th out of 13 teams to present).

However, on stage, I'm like super stoned, compared to my heats presentation. Abit ironic, but at least we pushed our demo to higher standards - by putting a demo. We were rather ticked off that our presentation did not have a demo in the heats, and so... we brought Mrs Chang's sentimental large wineglass.

And so, we didn't win anything much today.

Got my best speaker award ($20 voucher), and the Merit award ($100 voucher). Other teams, like MGS who had trained speakers who got Best Speaker for Finals, got nicer prices like the top 3 and most entertaining presentation.

Got one feedback is that the most entertaining presentation is stupid. Viewers' vote. Most retarded. Why? NH did not send any supporters. MGS sent a whole bunch. Therefore MGS won most entertaining.

Not that NH should win lah, but then abit the wrong what. If I bring the whole Sec 3 cohort, means I can get most entertaining? Abit crap right?

Cut the crap lah. Haha. So after the WOS finals, me went to meet Boon Yang, Yan Wei, Funky, and Mei Ying at Queenstown to meet the rice supplier. Things went rather smoothly there and I'm proud to say that we have passed the deposit for $2500 to them! Woohoo!

So happy and relieved that Operation Rice is a success and is about to end soon.

Why?

EOY coming very soon.

Sigh.

WLM

Windows Live Messenger sucks.

Literally.

It sucked away all my contacts.

What the hell.

First Day of Term 4

It's the last term of the year already. Time really speeds up when you're having fun, and so far, 2006 has been a great year.

First 4 periods of today rather slacky as teachers are not here. Teachers are also rather laid back somewhat on their teaching. So nothing much happening today.

During lunch, class mass-played Captain's Ball again. Woohoo. Then Mr Chowy came and joined us for a while before pushing us back to class for his Physics lesson.

Only 2 weeks left to End Of Year. Better push on.

End of holidays

Time flies.

I have been quite busy nowadays - either studying, doing homework, or at Newton MRT station.

So just break down the 7 (never enough) days...

Monday - Financial Literacy course. Some firm which is located very near my house came to our school to teach us how to save money - and plan money usage. They used their own board game - Praxis - to teach us and I felt that it was damn bloody effective. Must also thank our trainer Mr Chua (Is it Alex Chua? Forgot) for having those ever so irritating SARS and bird flu outbreaks.

In between, we had captain's ball as a class. Hey, got 2 hours of break do something as a class lah! Hahaha.

But really enjoyed it. Oh, and Monday's over just like that. As that course took up the bulk of it.

Tuesday - Environmental Champion Motivational Workshop. Yes, another green workshop. Held at the 25th floor of Environment Building - and that meant another trip to Newton and up that scary, looks-very-old lift. The talk was mostly activity-based and on how to communicate to our peers about green environmental education WITHOUT using green terms (aka we played Taboo). Also played a city planning game with my 2 team mates.

There were very few people, and the bulk of the (noise) came from the SJI Sec Ones. Wah seh, very attitude the trainers. Could see that the trainers were rather pissed off as well. The other groups of 3 were quite quiet and attentive. Yayi and Jane were also quite attentive, even though they joined the SJI table.

Surprise. Then went home with another yellow (Go Green) reusable goodie bag. And that makes four in our house.

Wednesday - Remedial from 8 to 12! Extremely freaky and tiring. But must thank Mr Nicholas Liu for letting us off slightly early. Have to rush for Council Meeting.

First time 14th EXCO planning a meeting, so was rather jumpy during Chemistry (you can ask YH for that), but guess what? It all went rather smooth. Was very delighted about the meeting. And the 13th EXCO didn't comment or anything, so it must be quite good already.

Too bad all left and didn't eat the Lay's. Haha.

Thursday - Another GREEN event. Rendimento. Guess what? It's at NEWTON, again. Yeah, Environment Building. But this one more informal. Planned by four Sec 4 students from NUSHS, HCI and NJC. Like a one day camp, but only 25 people attended this.

The day before, Yayi fell sick and didn't come. The suckiest and most nerve-wrecking part comes when Kenny told me in the morning that he couldn't make it. Then my mind told me that Jane will pangseh me as well. So I went there feeling that I will be alone. Sigh. No Nanhuarian to makan with.

And the SJI kids will be there. Horror.

You don't know how happy I was when I saw Jane walk into the level 4 conference room. Her phone kena missing and thus I could not contact her. Was so relieved, I told you. Then the rest of the 'camp' went passed great - with something like Treasure Hunt, looking for clues on stupid places which were rather obvious. Kenna pissed by a security guard who have no idea why 25 kids are running about.

After that, lots of discussion and games. After those activities, went to Novena with Jane, and 3 of the planning comm to makan my dinner and also had some Ben's and Jerry's ice cream (sponsored by Jane!). First time eating it, so quite nice. Then rushed off to Jiang Edu at Bugis for the boring 3 hour lesson.

I must give credit, however, to NEA for the delicious lunch. Super duper nice. Especially the fish (I'm still thinking of it now... Hahah). Oh, and I was rather shocked by SJI's ever-so-popular, featured-on-ST taupok group action. Yeah, stack themselves on top of each another. Thing is, only a few SJI people are there, so abit de lau kui when only 4 people are having taupok.

Also made lots of friends there, esp. from Commonwealth and Dunearn.

Friday - Botanic Gardens visit with my class! Go my class blog and see photos. Had a great time, as always, with my class. Very interesting, especially the SUPER COOL COOLHOUSE. Nicer than an air con room. Jun He goofed around, as usual.

After that we had Maths remedial (what a bummer I know) in school (obviously not in Botanic Gardens). Ms Ong ended the lesson looking at our sian looks. After Maths, we had captain's ball again, which dragged all the way from 1.30 to around 3. (Yeah, we're mad.)

At 3, finally sat down to do SS project and finished it as well. YH ordered food from McDonalds. Stupid idiot CSO (customer service officer), can't hear a crap she's talking about - speak like ang moh for what? This is Singapore leh.

Anyway, after the food, we played captains' ball from 3.45 to 5.15. By then I was having a severe headache, but was still able to walk around. Play so much - my body not suited for so long physical fun! Hahaha.

JH and YY then came my house and did the OpRice powerpoint. YY and I goofed around with my sis's tablet. Hahaha. We had fun with Windows Journal. Then accompanied the two of them to eat Five Star Chicken Rice.

Saturday - Yao Zhong goes to the same Maths tuition as me! Goodness! So shocked. It was his first lesson there, and we were doing revision, so he catch no ball. Heh.

Then we went to Pines together. Met Russ at NEWTON (3rd time in 6 days) MRT where we met Mr Ng at Pines. Was rather impressed with the quality of the ballroom. Had some great ideas for banners and all these already.

Felice should be there to start preparing the decorations, man.

Sunday - Went with my family to Orchard area to see what our gahmen has done to make Singapore more colourful. All the plants there were New Year plants - chrysanthmum and such. Look from far very colourful, look from near, some quite dead.

But Suntec area was freaking impressive. Even the floor got print "S2006 label" for those BMW cars and other dua pai cars.

ECP area was not so nice - some parts nice some parts average, like normal. But the deco is seriously too much - what will happen to the plants, esp. at Suntec, after the WB/IMF meetings? Throw away?

Sigh.

And now posting this post.

School reopens tomorrow.

Time really, really, really flies man.

September Holidays

September Holidays are here already!
Lots of things to do. Whole week booked up already.

Monday: The world's most retarded Financial Course. Hmm. Maybe it's good? Dunno lah. And Council EXCO Meeting (yay!)

Tuesday: Green Seminar

Wednesday: RoboNight (not confirmed), Council Meeting (yay!)

Thursday: Green thingy again, but more informal. Jiang remedial (boring)

Friday: Sheeshers visit to Botanic Gardens! We're gonna rock the flowers, yeah! x) And SS project day.

Saturday: Grad Nite Location (The Pines) visit

The whole week's been lined up nicely for me. Hmm. Love busy-ness sometimes. Keeps you occupied.

Other things:

Asiasoft FINALLY finished the Audition patch. Yay! After 60 hours. They better get some sleep.

Vista Release Candidate 1 is released. Mainly using Vista as main OS already - it's that good. App compatiblity is not there yet, so XP is still in my HD, but for other things, Vista's really shaping up beautifully.

Boohoo. Financial stuff tomorrow. Don't know if can wear half-U? x)
