Time flies.
I have been quite busy nowadays - either studying, doing homework, or at Newton MRT station.
So just break down the 7 (never enough) days...
Monday - Financial Literacy course. Some firm which is located very near my house came to our school to teach us how to save money - and plan money usage. They used their own board game - Praxis - to teach us and I felt that it was damn bloody effective. Must also thank our trainer Mr Chua (Is it Alex Chua? Forgot) for having those ever so irritating SARS and bird flu outbreaks.
In between, we had captain's ball as a class. Hey, got 2 hours of break do something as a class lah! Hahaha.
But really enjoyed it. Oh, and Monday's over just like that. As that course took up the bulk of it.
Tuesday - Environmental Champion Motivational Workshop. Yes, another green workshop. Held at the 25th floor of Environment Building - and that meant another trip to Newton and up that scary, looks-very-old lift. The talk was mostly activity-based and on how to communicate to our peers about green environmental education WITHOUT using green terms (aka we played Taboo). Also played a city planning game with my 2 team mates.
There were very few people, and the bulk of the (noise) came from the SJI Sec Ones. Wah seh, very attitude the trainers. Could see that the trainers were rather pissed off as well. The other groups of 3 were quite quiet and attentive. Yayi and Jane were also quite attentive, even though they joined the SJI table.
Surprise. Then went home with another yellow (Go Green) reusable goodie bag. And that makes four in our house.
Wednesday - Remedial from 8 to 12! Extremely freaky and tiring. But must thank Mr Nicholas Liu for letting us off slightly early. Have to rush for Council Meeting.
First time 14th EXCO planning a meeting, so was rather jumpy during Chemistry (you can ask YH for that), but guess what? It all went rather smooth. Was very delighted about the meeting. And the 13th EXCO didn't comment or anything, so it must be quite good already.
Too bad all left and didn't eat the Lay's. Haha.
Thursday - Another GREEN event. Rendimento. Guess what? It's at
NEWTON, again. Yeah, Environment Building. But this one more informal. Planned by four Sec 4 students from NUSHS, HCI and NJC. Like a one day camp, but only 25 people attended this.
The day before, Yayi fell sick and didn't come. The suckiest and most nerve-wrecking part comes when Kenny told me in the morning that he couldn't make it. Then my mind told me that Jane will pangseh me as well. So I went there feeling that I will be alone. Sigh. No Nanhuarian to makan with.
And the SJI kids will be there. Horror.
You don't know how happy I was when I saw Jane walk into the level
4 conference room. Her phone kena missing and thus I could not contact her. Was so relieved, I told you. Then the rest of the 'camp' went passed great - with something like Treasure Hunt, looking for clues on stupid places which were rather obvious. Kenna pissed by a security guard who have no idea why 25 kids are running about.
After that, lots of discussion and games. After those activities, went to Novena with Jane, and 3 of the planning comm to makan my dinner and also had some Ben's and Jerry's ice cream (sponsored by Jane!). First time eating it, so quite nice. Then rushed off to Jiang Edu at Bugis for the boring 3 hour lesson.
I must give credit, however, to NEA for the delicious lunch. Super duper nice. Especially the fish (I'm still thinking of it now... Hahah). Oh, and I was rather shocked by SJI's ever-so-popular, featured-on-ST taupok group action. Yeah, stack themselves on top of each another. Thing is, only a few SJI people are there, so abit de lau kui when only 4 people are having taupok.
Also made lots of friends there, esp. from Commonwealth and Dunearn.
Friday - Botanic Gardens visit with my class! Go my class blog and see
photos. Had a great time, as always, with my class. Very interesting, especially the SUPER COOL COOLHOUSE. Nicer than an air con room. Jun He goofed around, as usual.
After that we had Maths remedial (what a bummer I know) in school (obviously not in Botanic Gardens). Ms Ong ended the lesson looking at our sian looks. After Maths, we had captain's ball again, which dragged all the way from 1.30 to around 3. (Yeah, we're mad.)
At 3, finally sat down to do SS project and finished it as well. YH ordered food from McDonalds. Stupid idiot CSO (customer service officer), can't hear a crap she's talking about - speak like ang moh for what? This is Singapore leh.
Anyway, after the food, we played captains' ball from 3.45 to 5.15. By then I was having a severe headache, but was still able to walk around. Play so much - my body not suited for so long physical fun! Hahaha.
JH and YY then came my house and did the OpRice powerpoint. YY and I goofed around with my sis's tablet. Hahaha. We had fun with Windows Journal. Then accompanied the two of them to eat Five Star Chicken Rice.
Saturday - Yao Zhong goes to the same Maths tuition as me! Goodness! So shocked. It was his first lesson there, and we were doing revision, so he catch no ball. Heh.
Then we went to Pines together. Met Russ at
NEWTON (3rd time in 6 days) MRT where we met Mr Ng at Pines. Was rather impressed with the quality of the ballroom. Had some great ideas for banners and all these already.
Felice should be there to start preparing the decorations, man.
Sunday - Went with my family to Orchard area to see what our gahmen has done to make Singapore more colourful. All the plants there were New Year plants - chrysanthmum and such. Look from far very colourful, look from near, some quite dead.
But Suntec area was freaking impressive. Even the floor got print "S2006 label" for those BMW cars and other dua pai cars.
ECP area was not so nice - some parts nice some parts average, like normal. But the deco is seriously too much - what will happen to the plants, esp. at Suntec, after the WB/IMF meetings? Throw away?
Sigh.
And now posting this post.
School reopens tomorrow.
Time really, really, really flies man.
